The Missouri Botanical Garden seeks volunteers to help enhance the visitor experience during the Garden’s first-ever Garden Glow event. The light exhibit runs November 23, 2013 through January 4, 2014. Volunteers will welcome and assist guests as they view the outdoor exhibit.

Volunteers are asked to make a commitment of at least 10 hours during the exhibit.

Shifts are available from 5 to 7 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, November 22 through December 19. Volunteers are also needed nightly from December 20 through January 4, 5 to 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 to 10 p.m. when the exhibit is open expanded evenings and hours. Garden Glow is closed December 24, 25 and 31.

Volunteers will primarily work in the Garden, but a limited number of positions will be available inside Ridgway Visitors Center.

Volunteers must attend at least one of the two-hour training sessions held at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Three sessions will be offered: Monday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m.; or Saturday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. More information will be sent to interested individuals prior to the training. The Garden is located at 4344 Shaw Blvd. in south St. Louis, accessible from Interstate 44 at the Vandeventer exit and from Interstate 64 at the Kingshighway North and South exit.

Free parking is available on site and two blocks west at the corner of Shaw and Vandeventer.
