The Missouri Department of Transportation today announced that it will hold public briefings at each of its ten district offices Tuesday, March 10 at 6:00 p.m. to inform citizens about a draft list of projects to be funded through the federal American Recovery and Revitalization Act.

MoDOT District Engineers will conduct the briefings. They will present the department’s draft statewide list of projects and will be available to answer questions.

The draft project list is still under development and is expected to be available on MoDOT’s website Tuesday afternoon. Missourians are encouraged to view the list at that time at www.modot.org .

“Missouri has $31 billion in transportation needs, but MoDOT will receive just $525 million to address these needs statewide,” said MoDOT Director Pete Rahn. “We are committed to being open and transparent as we spend taxpayer dollars to get Missourians back to work and these public briefings are a clear demonstration of that commitment.”

The locations of MoDOT’s ten district offices can be found at www.modot.org.
