Metro will begin unveiling a long-range plan for public transit tonight at 5:30 p.m.

The modifications would be dependent upon the passing of a half-cent sales tax increase in April by St. Louis County – which failed to pass the last time it was on the ballot back in November 2008.

After several cuts to service lines and frequency last March – with some restored in the summer, Metro hopes that through the increase they will acquire enough funds to return some of the eliminated services.

The meeting will take place at St. Louis County Library headquarters, 1640 N. Lindbergh.
