According to St. Louis County Police, a Florissant woman for abusing a young girl using extension cords, tape and even dog feces.

They say that Rosa Nelson, 40, was the 11-year-old child’s legal guardian and the abuse began immediately after Nelson gained custody of her six months ago.

The suspect allegedly beat the child with an extension cord, put tape over the child’s eyes, kept the child tied up overnight and put dog feces in the child’s face.

Nelson operated a daycare out of her home, police said. The Child Day Care Association lists the business as Rosalee’s Angels.

She was arrested and released on a $10,000 bond.
