A St. Louis police officer is recovering following an overnight shooting.
Investigators say the officer was shot just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday near Interstate 44 and Vandeventer Avenue.
The off-duty officer was in his personal vehicle at the time of the shooting.
Another vehicle pulled up next to him and opened fire. Police said those responsible for the shooting may have been involved in another shooting in Brooklyn, Ill.
The officer was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
Police have no one in custody.
