The office of State Treasurer Clint Zweifel has developed a 100 percent paperless process for most claims $250 or less in its Unclaimed Property Division at www.ShowMeMoney.com.
In Unclaimed Property, nearly 88 percent of all accounts being held are $250 or less. His office is the fifth in the nation to offer 100 percent paperless claims. Previously, all claims required a paper form to be submitted by mail.
“This process makes it easy and secure for Missourians to get their Unclaimed Property fast,” Zweifel said.
Fiscal year 2010 is already the second largest on record in terms of assets with more than $32 million returned. It is the largest fiscal year for claims fulfilled with more than 83,000 returned with one month left in FY10.
