Illinois State Police have identified a woman found dead Friday under the Poplar Street Bridge.
They say she’s a 49 year old from St. Louis but they aren’t ready to release her name to the public.
Autopsy results show the victim died from blunt trauma to the head and body, injuries caused by falling from the bridge.
According to police, it’s not clear whether the woman was pushed from the bridge, fell accidentally or was hit by a car on the highway.
Her death is being investigated as a homicide.
