Voting began at 6 a.m. and will continue until 7p.m. for the Aug. 3rd primary. With today on track to being the hottest day of the year, officials hope that the heat doesn’t deter individuals from casting their votes. According to KSDK.com Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan is predicting about 24 percent of registered voters will cast a ballot.

Statewide races will also be in on the ballot. The U.S. Senate seat is up for grabs because Republican Kit Bond is not seeking reelection.
