Bishop Dwight H. McDaniels, Jr., a spiritual leader to thousands in the St. Louis area, will be laid to rest this weekend. “He will certainly be missed,” said Pastor Willie McMiller, senior pastor of Brotherly Love West Christian Assembly Church regarding Bishop McDaniels passing.

Bishop McDaniels was Pastor and founder of San Francisco Temple Complex and Presiding Prelate of Christian Assembly Fellowship, Inc.

“His passing left a big void that will never be filled,” McMiller said. “He was a giant in the community – and not just the religious community.”

Bishop McDaniels passed away on Sunday afternoon.

“His life exemplified the passage of scripture found in 1 Peter 5:6,” an official statement from the church said. “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”

“Bishop McDaniels has left an enduring legacy to his family,” the statement continued. “We are comforted knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. There will never be another one like him. We thank God for the time he was with us.”
