Yesterday (Monday) evening, a shooting in the 2600 block of Madison left 26 year-old Kellen Gillespie dead
According to police reports an unknown assailant approached him from the gangway and fired four shots striking Gillespie in the neck, stomach and scalp.
The victim was taken to St. Louis University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:55 p.m.
The shooting was said to have stemmed from an earlier fight involving several people. The victim was witnessed breaking up the altercation.
