A 51-year-old woman who was suspected of shoplifting ran over the policeman’s foot.
The Northwoods police officer is now in the hospital after trying to detain the suspect.
The officer reportedly tried to stop her after she was caught stealing but the woman decided to fleeand ran over the officer’s foot during the getaway.
A chase ensued, but soon ended after the woman crashed into a utility pole at Fair Ave. and Ashland.
