St. Louis voters have re-elected Francis Slay, making him the city’s first four-term mayor.
Slay easily won Tuesday’s general election over Green Party candidate James McNeely, getting 84 percent of the vote. There was no Republican challenger in the heavily Democratic city.
Slay was first elected in 2001. He defeated Board of Aldermen President Lewis Reed by about 10 percent of the vote in a bitterly contested primary in March.
He will be inaugurated April 16 in the City Hall rotunda.
