St. Louis County Library

St. Louis County Library will host a visit from the Digital Bookmobile on Friday, June 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Digital Bookmobile is on a national tour to promote downloadable resources including eBooks, eAudiobooks and movies. Patrons can board the Digital Bookmobile and learn about borrowing digital items from St. Louis County Library. The bookmobile will be on Library Headquarters’ parking lot at 1640 S. Lindbergh, Ladue, Missouri, 63131. This program is free and open to the public.

The Digital Bookmobile is traveling coast to coast, inviting people to come aboard and participate in an interactive eMedia experience. The bookmobile includes a Gadget Gallery with a variety of devices which can be used to borrow electronic items from the library. iPhone, iPad, Android, Chromebook, and Kindle are just some of the brands represented. Interactive learning stations encourage visitors to search the library’s digital media collection. Beginners can get a one-on-one tutorial from technical experts.

Patrons can take advantage of SLCL’s eMedia service 24/7 by visiting www.slcl.org/emedia. From there, they can browse the growing collection of bestselling, new release, and classic titles, and check out a digital title with a valid library card. The Digital Bookmobile’s visit is courtesy of OverDrive, the company from which St. Louis County Library purchases eBooks and eAudiobooks for children, teens and adults.
