The publishing firm C-Q Press released its 15th annual ranking of crime rates in U.S. cities and St. Louis is no longer in the top two.

The 2008 rankings show New Orleans, Louisiana as having the highest crime rate ranking.

St. Louis has fallen to fourth on the list, behind Camden, New Jersey and Detroit, Michigan, which held the top spot last year.

The crime rate rankings of the cities and metropolitan areas are calculated using six crime categories: murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, and motor vehicle theft. The rankings include all cities of at least 75,000 residents that reported crime data to the FBI.
