State Representative Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, will host a community action town hall meeting focused on ways to counteract violence in our communities. The meeting is scheduled for July 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wade Funeral Home Chapel.
The town hall meeting will feature a panel discussion hosted by Keith Antone. Rep. Nasheed will participate in the discussion along with Police Chief Daniel Isom, Alderman Antonio French, Alderman Sam Moore and James Clark from Better Family Life.
“I am excited to hold this town hall meeting and give our community a chance to talk about the things we can do to reduce the rate of violent crime in our area,” said Rep. Nasheed. “The knowledgeable panel members will help us to better recognize the crime taking place in our neighborhoods, why it happens, and how to prevent it. Increasing awareness about crime gives us the tools needed to improve our communities – making them a better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
The Stop the Violence Community Action Town Hall Meeting will take place tomorrow (Thurs. July 2) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home Chapel, 4828 Natural Bridge.
