The Missouri Chapter of Sierra Club is publically endorsing seven candidates running in Missouri’s State Primaries, taking place tomorrow (Tues., August 3).
The candidates are: Hope Whitehead (District 57), Rev. James Morris (District 58), Susan Carlson (District 64), Rory Ellinger (District 72), Stacy Newman (District 73), Doug Clemens (District 77), and Bryon DeLear (District 79).
The Sierra Club uses three main criteria when considering a political endorsement: the candidate’s overall environmental record and platform (measured through public service, interviews, etc), the candidate’s performance or record if previously elected, and the candidate’s prospect of winning or creating a credible campaign.
The Sierra Club believes that these candidates will support and promote environmental protection if elected to the Missouri House of Representatives.
