“We want Senator Blunt to vote no on the confirmation of Kavanaugh,” said Mariah Padgett, one of the women chained to the door. “We don’t think a sexual predator should a Supreme Court justice or president.”
Susan Clark, a Ferguson activist, is the other woman locked down. Blunt’s office is located at 7700 Bonhomme.
Yesterday, on the floor of the U.S. Senate, Blunt reaffirmed his intention to vote to confirm Kavanaugh’s appointment.
“Unless later today somehow we see something that is highly unlikely, based on all the things already out there, I intend to vote for Judge Kavanaugh,” Blunt said. “I don’t think he would have said, ‘I categorically and unequivocally didn’t do this or anything like it’ regarding the specific charge if he had.'”
