Yesterday evening a baby was tragically shot and killed while sitting with his family in a car in Pagedale.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department, at around 6 p.m. someone pulled up next to the vehicle at the intersection of Kingsland and 70th Streets and began firing.
Eighteen-month-old Rashaad Bobbitt was sitting in his mother’s lap in the front passenger’s seat. The boy’s older brothers, ages four and five, were sitting in the back seat.
The child died at around 9 p.m.
St. Louis County Police say that he was the only one wounded in the shooting. The baby’s father was struck by flying glass. It is yet to be determined whether anyone in the family was an intended target.
