Twelve people escaped a fire without injury Friday morning as a house went up in flames in East St. Louis.
Ten of those who escaped were the children of the two women who lived there.
The fire was near 45th and Caseyville in East St. Louis. No one was hurt in the fire, which started around 2 a.m.
Investigators are trying to determine what started the fire.
