Vatterott College, which has campuses across the St. Louis region and across the Midwest, announced yesterday that the school would be closing its doors effective immediately.
According to KTVI Fox 2, the for profit college released a statement “pointing to financial hardships, and the federal government, as the deciding factor in this decision.”
Administrators are reportedly working to find institutions where the displaced students can transfer where their credits will be valid.
The school served thousands of students and had nearly 1000 employees.
Staff and faculty were discharged from their jobs effective immediately – and their employee benefits were terminated as well.
