The Missouri Supreme Court has upheld a decision to strike down the Voter ID law passed by the Republican dominated legislature.

In a 6-1 opinion that cannot be attributed to any particular judge, the Court affirmed the decision of the trial court striking down the new provisions.

Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr., wrote a dissenting opinion.

Senior Judge Charles Blackmar, a senior judge of this Court, and Special Judge Nancy Rahmeyer, a judge of the Court of Appeals, Southern District, sat in for Judges William Ray Price Jr. and Mary Rhodes Russell, respectively.
