Wells Fargo will take to the highway this summer with “On the Road to End Elder Financial Abuse,” a 6-city, cross-country “bus tour” designed to put the brakes on elder financial abuse and fraud.

The bus will arrive in St. Louis on July 15th at the Wells Fargo Advisors Learning Center this Afternoon to answer questions and offer information that can help the public recognize signs of elder financial abuse and stop it before it occurs.

The following organizations will join Wells Fargo Advisors at the St. Louis event:

• Alzheimer’s Association

• Memory Care

• St. Louis Village

• OASIS

Elder financial abuse is a crime that is estimated to cost victims in excess of $3 billion dollars each year.

One in three investors know someone who has been a victim of elder financial abuse, a recent Gallup survey finds. It’s important Americans recognize the signs and learn how to avoid and report it.

The “On the Road to End Elder Financial Abuse,” tour bus will be at Wells Fargo Advisors Learning Center (at Market near Jefferson) from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15.
