A night out for a local mother ended tragically at a club on Laclede’s Landing. A 29-year-old woman suddenly collapsed, fell off a bar and never regained consciousness.
Tomiya Evans was at Club Buca Saturday night dancing with friends, when she suddenly collapsed and was taken by ambulance to an area hospital. She was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Evans had been dancing on the bar, and Andrew says Club Buca promotes that.
Evans was a hairdresser from Cahokia, and leaves behind five children.
Autopsy results are pending, but Evans’ family believes it was a heart attack. This was the same ailment that killed her mother, her grandfather and her great grandfather.
A relative said that the children’s father lives in the area, and Evans had a fiancée and a loving family who will make sure the children are cared for and loved. Funeral arrangements are pending.
