A peculiar car accident in North St. Louis city during the early morning hours of July 4th has taking a shocking turn when the car’s owner was discovered to be missing and has yet to be located.

Just before 4-am July 4th, when a PT Cruiser collided with this house on the 4600 block of Kossuth. The impact shook the foundation and took out part of the porch.

The car was registered to 42-year old Pearl Davis. When police arrived, tThe driver of the car was nowhere to be found. Within hours police realized this accident investigation had become a missing person’s case.

No driver was located at the scene of the accident. It is unclear if she or someone else was driving the vehicle at the time of the vehicle crash, as no witnesses were found who actually saw the driver of the vehicle.

Relatives told police they last saw 42-year-old Pearl Elizabeth Davis around 10:30 p.m. getting into her car and leaving a residence in the 4400 block of Penrose.

Police attempted to contact Davis but instead reached a relative around 4 a.m. and notified him of the accident. The relative then tried to contact Davis but was unsuccessful. Relatives continued to attempt to reach Davis throughout the day on Sunday but were unsuccessful each time.

Considering the vehicle accident and Davis’ lack of contact with relatives, police are attempting to determine if Davis is in need of medical attention as a result of the accident and to ensure that she has not been harmed in any other way.

Davis is approximately 4’11” tall, weighs approximately 145 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
