Yaphett El-Amin of St. Louis, Missouri has joined Kwame Building Group (KWAME) of St. Louis as a M/WBE (Minority-and-Women Owned Business Enterprise) program manager.
In her new role, El-Amin is responsible for the outreach, recruitment and identification of M/WBE opportunities. She will also assist contractors with supportive services, business development and mentoring program design and implementation along with the coordination of pre-award program.
El-Amin has 10 years of experience in M/WBE management. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and is working on a Master of Public Administration at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). El-Amin was previously a Missouri State Representative. She is a member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
