Alana Marie Wade, one of the siblings who desperately needed a liver transplant to survive, lost her battle for her life on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Alana and her sister, Aleah, were featured in newspapers, including the St. Louis American, in 1999, when it was first discovered that they had this rare genetic disease, cirrhosis or hardening of the liver.
Visitation for Alana was held Sunday June 1, 2008 at Granberry Mortuary. Funeral Services were also at Granberry Mortuary on Monday June 2, 2008.
The family would like to thank all of the supporters and contributors who have helped our fundraiser with their time, money and prayers through this entire ordeal. Donations can still be sent to the National Foundation for Transplants, 1102 Brookfield Ave. Suite 200 Memphis Tenn. 38119.
