Carl H. Richardson

Carl H. Richardson was born September 25, 1932.  He peacefully departed this life on February 22, 2015. 

Carl was married to his high school sweetheart, Christine Rutlin Richardson, who was his constant companion for sixty-three years.  He is survived by his wife, one son, Carlton Wayne (Janalyn) Richardson, one grandson, Cole William Richardson, one aunt, Alfreda Scruggs, and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces. 

Carl graduated from Vashon High School and completed an accounting course at Muriel’s  Business College.  He served in the United States Army achieving the rank of corporal.

Carl was one of two top managers for the 905 Liquor Stores for 20 years, and chief of security  for the St. Louis State Children’s Psychiatric Hospital for 25 years. Carl attended Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed him.

Carl will have a memorial gathering followed by military honors ceremony at the Archway Memorial Chapel, at 111 Taylor Road in Hazelwood, Missouri on Monday, March 9, 2015, beginning at 11am with a repast to follow. For more information or to leave online tributes, please visit:
