Cheryl Renee Saunders was born on May 12, 1961 in St. Louis, to the union of the late Alvin Gibson and Dorothy Foggie. Cheryl sang in the choir at Southern Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member all of her life. Cheryl loved her family dearly and was well loved by her family. On Monday, October 16, 2006, she finally decided to rest and have eternal peace. Cherishing her memory are her husband Kirk Saunders, mother Dorothy Foggie, son Christopher Gilbert, daughter Kaylah Gilbert, sister Pamela Gibson, brothers Michael(Alicia) and Brian(Melanie) Gibson, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2006 at Southern Missionary Baptist Church, 5630 Page Blvd. The Wake is from 5 – 7 pm and Funeral Services began at 7:00 pm.
