A Time to be Born: Clarice Magee Williams began her life’s journey on December 16, 1930 in Franklinton, Louisiana to her proud parents Luke and Hynetter Magee. She was the second oldest child of 13 children.

A Time to Grow: Clarice was educated in the public schools in Franklinton, Louisiana. She was a member of Lear Hill Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop John White. At the tender age of 19, she moved to New Orleans, Louisiana and became a member of First Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop James Feltus, where she served as a member of the choir.

A Time to Love: On March 5, 1960, Clarice married Jessie Williams the love of her life. To this union four children were born; Donna, Gale, Garry and Roy. She was a proud mother and had a great relationship with her children. Mother Williams was a person to rise early in the morning to care for her husband and her children as they went off to work and school. She was a great cook and had many favorite dishes. Soon after her marriage, she became a member of Pentecostal Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Lindell Brown.

A Time to Minister: Mother Clarice Williams served as Choir Director, YWCC President, Sunday School Treasurer/Teacher, YPWW teacher, Junior Church Mother, and Church Mother. She also served as District Chairlady for the youth Department of District #2 North for Eastern Louisiana. Mother Clarice Williams never forgot to take time out to pray for the Saints of God, her friends, and her family. In 2005, Mother Williams moved to St. Louis, Missouri with her children and grandchildren. She soon adapted to the city and her new church family. She was embraced with much love from the people of God and loved her pastor and first lady very much and prayed for them daily.

A Time to Mourn: On Saturday, July 31, 2010, the Lord called His precious Saint to Glory to be with Him. She was preceded in death by her parents Luke and Hynetter Magee; her husband, Jesse Williams, four sisters, Alice Benson, Virginia Richardson, Elnora Andrews, and Betty Atkins; two brothers John D. and LC Magee. Upon her passing from this life to her eternal life, she leaves to cherish her memories four children, Donna (Leonard) Jones, Garry (Krystal) Williams, Roy (Constance) Williams, all of St. Louis, Missouri and Gale (Frank) Benjamin from Los Angeles, California; seven grandchildren, Pierre (Kayla), Dominique, Kristopher, LaDonna, Gabrielle, Clarice, and Alexis; two sisters, Louise Leflore of New Orleans, Louisiana and Wilhelmenta Williams of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Lafayette Magee and Elbert Magee of Houston, Texas and Alonzo Magee and Joseph Magee of Franklinton, Louisiana; three godchildren, Jeffery Conerly and Kathy Davis of New Orleans, Louisiana and Jacquelyn Johnson of Charlotte, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Time to Die: Mother Clarice William is at rest now. No more sickness, no more pain. We will not mourn as those without hope, because we are confident in knowing that absent from the body is present with the Lord. God in his infinite wisdom showed favor in Mother Williams for 79 years of a wonderful and saintly life here on earth.
