Deloris Pennington was born August 14, 1955 to Mamie T. Isaiah and Luther Harrold. Luther Harrold preceded her in death.
Deloris attended Sumner High School and the Continuing Education Program at Forest Park Community College.
Deloris was a loyal and faithful member of Solomon’s Temple Church for 17 years under the leadership of Bishop James E. Halloway and Co-Pastor, Linda D. Holloway, where she also served as an ordained Minister. Deloris loved her church, her Bishop and Co-Pastor.
Deloris was best known for dancing around the church while praising the Lord. She had a very special dance each time she praised the Lord at Solomon’s Temple. She could cause the entire congregation to stand on their feet and give God glory.
Deloris owned her own cleaning company called Dee Dee’s Cleaning Service.
Deloris loved to dance and was a loyal member of Charley’s Body Shoppe for 16 years. She was a member of the Adult Praise Dance Ministry, under the direction of Charley Johnson, where she danced throughout the city and also participated in a praise dance concert in Kansas City, Missouri.
Deloris leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Henri Pennington; four devoted daughters, Deborah Marie Bracken, Bridget Renee Carmickle (Lemond), Michelle Deloris Edwards, and Kymya Pennington; two sons, Rolan Henri Pennington and James Ramone Pennington; two grand-daughters, Brianua Yasmeen Carmichael and Crystal Hughes; two grandsons, Lemond Malik Carmickle and Christopher Willie Hughes; five sisters, Mamie Reynolds, Hula Mae Isaiah, Dorothy Moore, Willie Mae Coleman and Priscilla West; two brothers, Robert Lee Coleman and Artie Hodge; her best friend, Linda Thompson; Godmother, Ercie Moffat and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
