Sept. 30, 1990 – Sept. 7, 2009
De’Sha Tiera “Queen” Woods was born Sept. 30, 1990 to the union of Pastor Antonio & Apostle Delores Woods. Queen gave her life to God at the age of 8. Queen was an active member of New Birth Redemption and Deliverence Ministries. All her life, she has made herself available as a servant of Christ. Queen has served as an usher, singer, adjutant and missionary. Queen faithfully served as her mother’s personal adjutant, intercessor and psalmist.
Queen is a proud graduate of the class of 2009 at Civic Memorial High School. After being diagnosed with brain damage, she dictated to the diagnosis, “I am MORE than a conqueror!” After graduating, Queen received two scholarships, majoring in mass communications and journalism.
She was also a composer and musical arranger. She and her mom wrote a song for Children’s Hospital titled “9 West Blues.”
Even though she conquered cancer and overcame many attacks with her health, she never had a complaint and always smiled until Monday, Sept 7, 2009 at 7:45 p.m., she smiled for the last time. Queen leaves to continue this journey, her loving parents, Pastor Antonio and Apostle Delores Woods Sr; two compassionate brothers, Antonio Louis “King” Woods Jr. and Dezman O’Sha “Black” Woods; her grandparents, Pastor Louis “PawPaw” Williams and Leotha “GrannyMa” Williams and Beverly Woods; great-grandmother, Molly Woods; a best friend, Kaneisha; a special spiritual intercessor and caregiver, prophetess Keva Robinson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
