Emily Bosley Brown passed peacefully at the age of 90 surrounded by her loving family. She was the third of eight children born to Preston T. and Alma J. Bosley. She was educated in the St. Louis Public School System starting at Cole Elementary school and graduating from THE Sumner High School in 1945. She earned her B.A. degree from Stowe Teachers College. While at Stowe, she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and was a lifelong member until her passing. Emily was the widow of Richard Brown. She was an educator in the St Louis Public Schools until her retirement. Emily was a faithful servant of Samaritan United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2018 from 3pm-8pm at William C. Harris Funeral Home; 1645 Redman; St Louis, MO 63138. The Delta’s Omega Omega service will be Friday at 6pm. A second visitation will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 9am-10am, with the Celebration of Life starting at 10am. Saturday’s service will be held at Samaritan United Methodist Church; 4234 Washington Blvd; St Louis, MO 63108. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
