In Loving Memory of Morris E. Bohannon

Morris E. Bohannon was born in Coffeeville, Mississippi, the sixth child of Rev. C. P. Bohannon and Leona Brown Bohannon. Following graduation from high school he enlisted in the US Army, where he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer after 29 years of credible and outstanding service. He was the recipient of many distinguished awards and medals. 

Morris attended Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois and later married his childhood sweetheart, Ida James.  Professionally, Morris dedicated over 26 years of service with the Chicago Post Office and as a Program Manager for the Central Region Headquarters , overseeing the administration of postal systems in 13 states.  

Morris and wife, Ida completed a three-year Diaconate Program that led his ordination as a Permanent Deacon and her commitment as a lay minister.  As a Permanent Deacon, he pledged that he would live and share the Word of God.

Morris will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 73 years, Ida; daughter Victoria (Stanley), four grandchildren- Christopher (Ayana), Jonathan, Jennifer (Brandon Fox) , Christina;,  great granddaughter Aria Fox; sister, Pauletta,; nieces, nephews, and many wonderful supportive friends. 

Visitation services for Morris Bohannon will be held at 10:00 a.m .on Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Alphonsus Ligouri “Rock” Church, 1118 N. Grand Blvd.,

St. Louis, MO 63106.  The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated  at 11:00 a.m.

Entombment will take place at Bellerive Cemetary 740 N. Mason Road, Creve Coeur, MO 63141.
