Odella Briggs was born in Lamont, MS, the ninth of thirteen children to Samuel and Estella Briggs.
Odella married Riley Booker in 1945 and moved to St. Louis in 1953. They joined Centennial Christian Church were Odella was a member of the Deaconess Board, the Senior Choir and several other organizations.
Odella’s greatest love was her family: her surviving sisters: Annie Mae Greenberry and Matilda Young; her children: Patricia Slate, Larry Booker (deceased), JoAnne Booker and Pamela Muhammed (Terrance); a stepson and his children; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaugher.
