Robert Joseph Valle, Sr. (Bob), 95, of Glen Echo Park, Missouri, passed away on Friday August 5, 2016, of natural causes.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016, at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Alphonsus Ligouri Catholic Church
(The Rock) 1118 N. Grand Blvd, Saint Louis Mo, 63106. Rev. Richard Potts, C. Sr., will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 A.M. Internment at
Calvary Cemetery will be private.
Bob was born in Quincy, Illinois on November 19, 1920. He graduated from Sumner High School, Saint Louis, Missouri and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Science from Xavier University of Louisiana.
Bob was married to Laura Robert on May 15, 1942. They were married 65 years.
Bob worked as a chemist at the Pine Bluff Arsenal during World War II while teaching chemistry at Arkansas A&M College (University of Arkansas Pine Bluff). Upon his return to Saint Louis, he worked for the US Postal Service. He enjoyed choral music, travel, and Saint Louis Cardinals Baseball. He was actively involved as a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Saint Louis Alumni. and the St. Louis Set, Inc.
Bob is preceded in death by wife, Laura Robert Valle, parents Jose Valle and Lillian Sidner Valle, siblings Albert Valle, Carmen Valle, Garnetta Valle and Joseph Robert Valle, Sr., and daughter Anita Valle Mukes.
He is survived by his children Dorothy Valle Campbell, Robert J. Valle, Jr., Victoria Valle and, Sharon Valle, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
