Tamara Bettina Perry, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend departed this life on December 3 after a long illness. Tamara was born in Pensacola, Florida in 1946, where her parents, Edith and Isaac Perry, Sr., were living as her father completed his service in the US Navy at the end of World War II. A lifelong resident of St. Louis.Â
Tam graduated from Beaumon High School in 1963, and from Truman University in 1967 with a bachelors degree in Sociology. She spend her career in social work, and especially enjoyed working on youth development programs for the City of St. Louis.Â
Arrangements have been entrusted to Austin Layne Mortuary, with a viewing on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 4-7 pm in their chapel at 7733 Natural Bridge Road.Â
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Westside MB Church, 4675 Page Blvd., with Internment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.Â
