Irvin was born to the lovely parents of Veola (Toran) and Irvin Underwood on April 20, 1946 at Homer G. Phillips Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was raised in a family who knew the true meaning of Love. While enhancing his education at Beaumont High School, he achieved one of his life goals in making furniture in his favorite “shop” class. He was an early strong survivor in making his own money; a paper boy at the age of 13, Sportsman Park (b.k.a Bush Stadium) as a vendor. He continued working at different jobs such as Top of 230 (fine dining) & McDonell Douglas Cafeteria until he landed his 30+ yr. job at Harvard Interior until closing the doors in 1998. He continued his welder career with National Vendor until his retirement in 2005. He was always known as “Irvin the Mr. Fix It”.  As his fatherhood began in June, 1964, his first pride and joy was born, Sunday Lynn. Then in September, 1969 his second precious joy Crystle Yvette; 1981 a man’s final touch was Julius Irvin, his son was born. Our dad was the best dad.
