Johnnie P. Evans Jr. was born on September 5, 1924 in Mobile AL to Johnnie P. Evans Sr., and Josie Lee Morgan Evans. Johnnie was the eldest of four children (Oliver, Helen and Gwendolyn Evans) all preceded him in death).
Dr. Evans, met and married the love of his life, Carol Jacqueline Cannon Evans, they were married in 1971. Dr. Evans and Carol have four children; three sons: Pablo Miguel Evans (MO), Phillip Price Evans (MO), Juan Antonlo Cannon (GA), and one daughter, Ka’Trina E. Cannon-Holt (GA).
Dr. Evans has five beautiful grandchildren: Qiana, Angela, and Jazzmine and identical twins grandsons: Angelo Jr., and Antonio. Dr. Evans also has five great-grandchildren: Angelo III aka Tre, Antonio II aka TJ, Aaliyah, Donav’E and Maddison.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Wade Funeral Home Twin Chapel 4800 Natural Bridge with the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Service at 6:00 P.M.
The Christian funeral service will be Friday morning March 6th at 11:00 A.M. at Washington Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church 618 North Garrison Avenue @ Samuel Shephard. Burial will follow in Saint Peter’s Cemetary 2101 Lucas-Hunt Road Normandy, Missouri.
