On August 10, 1947, God graced the world with the birth of Louise M. Ramey. She was the fourth of seven children born to the union of Edward and Elizabeth Ramey. Her parents and three of her siblings preceded her in death.

Louise was educated in the St. Louis Public School System and graduated from Vashon High School in 1965. On January 10, 1972, she married Arnold Moore and to this union was born two children – Sharon Denise and Stephan Arnold. Arnold and Stephan also preceded her in death.

She was a dedicated member of Carter Institutional C.M.E. Church for many years, where she served as a Sunday School superintendent. For the last several years she faithfully attended Coleman-Wright C.M.E. Church, under the pastorate of Reverend Q. H. Whitlock, where she also served in the capacity of Sunday school teacher until her passing. In 1980, Louise made the greatest decision of her life to receive Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and Lord at a retreat at Babler State Park.

Louise worked over 45 years, 35 of them were with the United States Government, from which she retired. She loved being with family and friends, especially her granddaughter, Remia. There was a special place in her heart which was held by her son-in-law, Martin Peterson and the senior club from Coleman-Wright. Louise departed this life on Monday, May 17, 2010.

Left to cherish her are her daughter, Sharon Peterson (Martin) her granddaughter Remia Chisholm; her siblings – Nelda Higgins (Johnny), Stephen Ramey (Viola), Estella Ramey; Goddaughter – Brittany Johnson; a very special group of friends; co-workers; neighbors and a host of other relatives and friends.
