Margo Juanita Thomas was born July 7, 1941 to Madison and Violet Thomas, who both preceded her in death. Margo was a long standing member with The Cathedral at the Crossroads. She went to her reward on February 6, 2016.
She was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, educated in the St. Louis Public School System. She graduated from Benton Elementary School and Sumner High School. Having a desire to enter the healthcare field, Margo enrolled in Homer G. Phillips School of Nursing in 1963 and graduated in 1966. She received an Associates Degree from Forest Park Community College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from St. Louis University.
She confessed her hope in Christ in 1981 and joined Saints Fellowship Mission. Margo had an all encompassing love for Christ which was manifested in her passion for teaching Sunday School and interceding for others through intercessory prayer. She also served in the Finance Department, Trustee Board and in Home and Foreign Missions. She united with The Cathedral at the Crossroads and received her ordination from Rev. Dr. James A. Drysdale, and she was a very faithful member until her health failed. She continued to support her church financially, prayerfully and spiritually.
Margo’s last days were spent at home on Woodrow Avenue and later at Crystal Creek Rehabilitation Center in Florissant, MO. On January 30, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, she closed her eyes and went to be with the Lord.
Margo leaves to cherish her memory a loving devoted sister, Karen Dixon; a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Baird; two nieces, Leslie Wallace and Margo Kristina Dixon (Chicago, IL); great-nephew, Brian Wallace; aunt, Theresa Cross; adopted son, Leslie DeClue and family; and a host of other family members and friends.
