Mary Jean Scott, 52, of St. Louis, Missouri, was called to rest on Friday, November 13, 2015, surrounded by family. Mary was born on February 12, 1963 to the union of Helen and Joseph Hoskins. Mary loved the Lord and accepted Him as her personal Savior at the age of 12.
Mary met, fell in love with and married the love of her life, Cedric Scott on August 27, 1988. To this union was born Justin, Whitney and Kristina Scott all of St. Louis.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband and children; four grandchildren: Ja’Niyah, Ka’Marie, Antwone, and Tyler; two sisters: Cynthia (Willie) Collier, Donna (Julio) Bermudez; one aunt: Constance Williams; three uncles: Monroe Jones, Jeffrey Holt and Rickie (Renee) Lewis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a very special lady, her mother-in-law, Eula Barry Scott. Preceding her in death were her mother; maternal grandmother; and three brothers.
Mary “Jean” loved people, especially her family. Her tender smile, gentle touch and loving spirit will be cherished by all those who knew her.
Services will be held at Reliable Funeral Home, 3958 Washington Blvd, St. Louis, MO; visitation 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and Home Going service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015, with Elder Willie Collier officiating.
