He was a friend to many, and the holidays will never be the same without him. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, father, uncle, nephew and cousin. He leaves to mourn; one daughter, Jocelyn Burks; two sons, Mason and Mason Jr.; his beloved mother, Cecile; maternal grandmother, Lillian Barnes; paternal grandmother, Forcelen Burnett; aunts, uncles, a host of cousins and friends.
