Mother Earline McLeod was called from labor to reward on March 6, 2008. She was 89 years old. She died peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side.

The wake will be held at the Church of God in Christ, 504 Houston Street in Dothan, Tuesday, March 11 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 12 at noon in Northview Christian Church, 233 Bic Road, Dothan. Burial will follow at the Montana Street Cemetery.

Mother McLeod was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Mary Jackson; a sister, Vera L. Eaton; a son, Jacob Winston McLeod; and a grandson, Aaron Gerhard Ranaldson.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 66 years, Pastor J. C. McLeod; two sons, James E. (Clara) McLeod of St. Louis, Mo., and Aaron Jeff (Gloria) McLeod of Birmingham; two daughters, Mary L. Parker and Alice Hawkins Head of Dothan; five grandchildren, Trina Hawkins (Derick) Saulsberry, Jeremy K. McLeod (fiancee’, Emily Naegar), Elder Frank L. (Jerrie) Hawkins III, Sara E. McLeod and Minister Jeffrey D. McLeod; a granddaughter-in-law, Dametrius Ranaldson; four great-grandchildren, Ta’Netria (Jeffery) Nobles, Corin S. Ranaldson, Ava E. McLeod and Jax L. Hawkins; one sister, Juanita Torain of Palma Heights, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Julia McLeod of Columbia, Md., and Mary Primus of Los Angeles; several nieces, nephews and other family members; the church family of the Davis-McLeod District and the Alabama First Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ.
