St. Louis, Missouri n June 6, 2005 n Presley Eugene Gregory, older brother of comedian and social activist, Dick Gregory died in his sleep early Monday morning.

Mr. Gregory, was born May 17, 1931 and was the oldest son of Preston and Lucille Gregory. Presley grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and was a student of the St. Louis Public School System.

Mr. Gregory served in both the U.S. Navy and Air Force. After leaving the military, he returned to St. Louis and married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Thomas. To this union 3 children were born, Constance, Eugene and Christopher.

Mr. Gregory moved to Chicago, Illinois where he endeavored in various business enterprises. During the 70’s Mr. Gregory moved back to St. Louis and married Direatha Crosby of Chicago. To this union 2 children were born, Margery and Mark. 3 children preceded him in death, Constance, Presley Jr. and Dino.

In 1999, Mr. Gregory returned to St. Louis after spending three years in Dayton, Ohio to remarry his first wife, Mary.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Mary, children n Eugene, Christopher, Judith, Kis Mayne (John), Margery, Mark, Jay and Larsell(Pepi), his three brothers Dick(Lillian), Garlan and Ronald (Joan), two sisters n Dolores(Roland) and Pauline(Robert), and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
