Roscoe Conklin Daniel was born March 25, 1929 to the union of Alfreda Cheers and George V. Daniel in Luxora, Arkansas. At an early age, Roscoe accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized. His parents, two brothers, a sister and two sons preceded him in death.

He was educated in the Luxora, Arkansas Public School System. He also attended Woodstock Training School in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Tennessee State University.

Roscoe was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After being honorably discharged, he joined Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church. While singing in the choir, he met and married Irnell Stampley. To this union, five children were born.

He was employed with Bi-State Transit Company. In May, 1966, Roscoe was the last street car operator for Public Transit. On April 1, 1992, he retired from Bi-State Transit Company after 39 years of service. He was also a businessman and owner of the Red Fez Lounge for more than 20 years. He met and married Lula Amerson and was blessed with a stepson, Kenneth.

Roscoe served as Worship Master of Onward Lodge #17. He was Past Potentate of Medinah Temple #39, A.E.A.O. N.M.S and also served as Imperial Promotional Director. He was a gold card member in good standing, serving over 40 years. He has received many awards, certifications and accolades too numerous to name. Roscoe departed this life on Sunday, September 14, 2008 after a brief illness at Barnes-Jewish Extended Care.
