Velma “Doll” Horbour, age 93, departed this life Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in Centreville, Illinois. She leaves to cherish her memory; her only daughter; Catherine McCottrell of Maplewood, Missouri; one brother; Robert T. Griffin of Chicago, Illinois; five grandchildren; Abe McCottrell, Jr., East St. Louis, Illinois, Karen Evans, Harker Heights, Texas, Frederick McCottrell, Centreville, Illinois, Roderick McCottrell, Sr., of Killeen Texas, and Erik McCottrell, Maplewood, Missouri, twelve great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. She also leaves a devoted extended family encompassing the Griffins, Bluitts and William’s families along with numerous friends and acquaintances.
