U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway, a Republican, is expected to file for Missouri attorney general when incumbent Jeremiah “Jay” Nixon takes his expected run for governor. It is unlikely that local circuit attorney Jennifer Joyce will run against her former college classmate. The Democratic contenders for attorney general are shaping up to be state Rep. Jeff Harris and state Rep. Margaret Donnelly, neither of whom are particularly exciting. Can we get somebody else in here? Joe Maxwell? Rachel Bringer? Steve Cousins?
