State Senator-elect Jeff Smith is looking for fellow volunteers for the night of December 15, when Monsanto Family YMCA has its Safe Night for North St. Louis youth, which focuses on teaching kids the importance of nonviolent conflict resolution and working toward career goals. The event is co-sponsored by Democrats Work, a new national organization that mobilizes Democrats to perform community service projects; check out www.democratswork.org.
