Last week Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan certified the results of the November 7 general election. Over two million Missourians voted in the general election – a turnout of almost 53 percent – surpassing pre-election estimates and the voter turnout in the prior two mid-term elections of 51 percent in 2002 and 43 percent in 1998.
