Drebes at Mo Scout Net reports that term-limited state Rep. Juanita Head Walton (whose name he misspelled – little shout out to the typo catchers in the bleachers!) has amended her campaign committee to seek the state Senate seat held by Tim Green. Throwing caution to the wind, Drebes calls the election for Green at this early date. Not surprisingly, her husband and mentor Elbert Walton has a different take on this. But he is brainier than your average operative, and it will take the EYE until next week to unpack his analysis for the rest of us. He thinks all she needs is $150,000 in campaign funds, which she’ll start raising August 14 at a fundraiser scheduled for 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton.
